"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing-wax, of cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings." - Lewis Carroll "For now we see through a glass, dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known" - 1 Corinthians 13:12

The Nutcracker
We took Elsa to see the Nutcracker for one of her Christmas presents this year. It was her first ballet, AND the first time she got flowers from Daddy. She was SO HAPPY!
We know she loved the flowers because they were mostly picked off and played with by the following afternoon, and we know she loved the ballet because she has been dancing ever since.
And we know Nora loves her sister because she has tried to copy her dancing as best as she can.
I especially like this photo of Joel and Nora trying to do ballet together:
Silly Daddy
The girls with the especially cold weather this winter and us being more house-bound than usual wtih Oliver, the girls have gotten a touch of cabin fever in the last few weeks. It has led them to anticipate Daddy's arrival home even more than before - they greet him at the door with "Daddy, let's rough house!"
This scene is not so "rough" but it is rather silly, I don't recall what they were singing together:
